HOUSTON, Texas -

Utah Valley held on for a 3-2 victory over host Houston Baptist at the Great West Conference Volleyball Tournament at Houston, Texas.

HBU, playing in its second five-set match in a matter of hours, lost to the No. 2 seed Wolverines, 22-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-17, 15-6.

Great West Player of the Year Kayli Broadbent led UVU with 14 kills. First-team All-GWC performer Camie Manwill posted a double-double with 10 kills and 17 digs. Allyce Jones, a second-team honoree, led with 26 digs, while second-team awardee Chelsea Fa'alogo added 34 assists.

The Huskies (13-20) were led by second team a All-GWC Ligia Clemente who posted 13 kills in the match. Courtney Whittleman registered 23 digs and Natalie Magat recorded a match-high 36 assists.

Utah Valley (22-9) will face GWC Champion North Dakota for the tournament title on Saturday at 2 p.m. (CT).
