Defending Champion NJIT will Face Seattle U in GWC Women's Tennis Title Match Sunday

Harlingen, Texas - Defending GWC Champion and top-seed NJIT will have a shot at its second straight title when the Highlanders face No. 2 seed Seattle U in Sunday's championship match at the 2012 GWC Women's Tennis Championship at Harlingen, Texas. In Saturday's semifinals, the Highlanders defeated fifth-seeded Chicago State, 4-0, while the Redhawks posted a 4-0 win over host and No. 3 seed Texas-Pan American.
The tournament got underway with Chicago State picking up a 4-1 win over No. 4 seed North Dakota, followed by UTPA claiming a 4-0 victory over sixth seed CSU Bakersfield.
North Dakota will play CSU Bakersfield in the fifth-place match, while Texas-Pan American and Chicago State will square off for third place. Both matches will take place at 9 a.m. (CT), with the championship match between NJIT and Seattle U following at 12 noon.
