NAPERVILLE, IL - Players from teams which faced each last week picked up Great West Conference Softball Players of the Week. Utah Valley's Jessica Martin threw a four-hit shutout over Houston Baptist among her two wins for the week to earn Pitcher of the Week honors, while Kailtin Southerland from Houston Baptist hit a double and a home run against Utah Valley among her four games to earn Player of the Week honors, the league office announced today.
