NEWARK, N.J. -

The final is set for the Great West Conference Soccer Tournament with the top two teams from the West Division playing for the title.

West Division champion Utah Valley will face the West's second-place team, Houston Baptist, in the championship game at 2 p.m. ET on Monday.

In today's semifinal action, Utah Valley defeated Howard, 2-0, as Katey Turner scored her fifth goal in the last three games. Camille Broderick also scored for the Wolverines (8-10-1).

The physical contest was scoreless for nearly 61 minutes before Nicole Archibald took the ball into the corner and found Turner in front of the goal, who punched it into the right corner for her sixth goal of the season.

UVU got some insurance in the 76th minute when Broderick rebounded her own shot to give the Wolverines a 2-0 lead with just over 14 minutes left in the game.

All-Conference goalkeeper Tasha Bell had two saves and got her third shutout of the season and fifth for the team. Howard (5-11-2) keeper Chanel Bell, an all-conference at-large selection, had six saves.

The Wolverines had a 23-6 edge in total shots including 8-2 on goal, and had six corner kicks to none for the Bison. Broderick finished with five shots, four on goal to lead UVU.

In the second semifinal contest, Houston Baptist faced North Dakota, which had upset the East's top seed and host NJIT last night in the quarterfinals. HBU won the match 3-1 over the Sioux.

Gabby Trujillo scored the Huskies' first two goals, both on assists from Brandi Hart to give HBU a 2-0 lead at the half.

In the second half, West Division Offensive Player of the Year Isla Cameron scored an unassisted goal at the 50:11 mark.

North Dakota (3-14-2) got on the board in the 81st minute on a goal by Brittany Harty from Rhaya Ballon.

All-Conference keeper Michelle Rich recorded one save for the Huskies in 90 minutes of action. Lauren Sera (3) and Monica Stierman (4) combined for seven saves for the Sioux in the losing effort.

The Huskies (9-8-3) outshot the Sioux 13-6 (10-2 on goal) and held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The final will feature the West's Offensive Player of the Year Cameron against the Defensive Player of the Year, UVU's Brooke Salcido. The two teams had some epic battles in the regular season--a 1-1 double-overtime tie at Houston, Texas, and a 3-2 win by Utah Valley at Orem, Utah.
