NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Utah Valley's Natalie Young and North Dakota's Kristi Hestdalen have been named Great West Conference Soccer Players of the Week. The honors were announced Monday by the conference office.

Young, a sophomore from Springville, Utah, notched two goals and tallied an assist in a 5-1 win over Idaho State last week. She currently leads the squad with four goals and has led UVU to a 4-2 mark the past six games.

Hestdalen, a freshman keeper from Pierre, S.D., posted 14 saves while just allowing two goals for a .875 saves percentage in a 2-2 double-overtime tie against in-state rival North Dakota State.

Others nominated were Delaware State's midfielder Theresa Wappett and goalkeeper Katelyn Koslosky, Houston Baptist's forward Natalie Hager, NJIT's forward Megan Dellavalle, North Dakota's forward Rhaya Ballon and Utah Valley's defender Kelsey Kimball Cook.
