NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Houston Baptist's Brandon Wildhide and Texas-Pan American's Matthew Charles have both been named America Sky Men's Golf Conference Golfers of the Week after an outstanding performance this week. The league office announced Friday.

Wildhide tied as the Huskies top finisher with a 54-hole total of 217 at the Houston Baptist Invitational played at the Quail Valley El Dorado Golf Course. The freshman from Aledo, Texas opened with a 74 then followed with a 73 before tying his season low with a 1-under par 70 in the final round. He is currently second on the team with a 74.5 stroke average this fall.

Charles, a freshman from Corpus Christi, Texas, tied for 11tt place - his career best - in the HBU Invite. He fired a season best 70 in the second round on the first day of action as Charles rebounded from an opening round of 75 to shoot 75-70-72 for a 54-hole total of 217.

Also nominated were Chicago State's Dan Cronin, Hartford's Anthony Vecchiarell and North Dakota's Alex Robb.
