Texas-Pan American Leads America Sky Conference Championship After Day One

EDINBURG, Texas - Texas-Pan American shot a two-round score of 610 (299-311) to lead the 2010 American Sky Golf Championship by one stroke over Houston Baptist on Monday. The championship is being played at the Los Lagos Golf Club in Edinburg, Texas UTPA's Reyna led the Broncs and is in first place overalll after shooting 67 and 74 for a total of 141, six strokes ahead of HBU's Sumin Yu who posted 147. The Broncs were also led by Armen Kirakossian who finished the day in a tie for third place with a 36-hole total of 150 (73-77). UTPA is up by one over HBU's 611 (307-304) and eight strokes over Northern Colorado's 618 (300-318). Binghamton, who is led by Jake Katz's 150 two-round total, sits alone in fourth place with a 629 (318-311) followed by Sacramanto State (316-315) and North Dakota (317-314) who are both tied for fifth at 631. Play will conclude on Tuesday with the third round as a shotgun start is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. at the Los Lagos Golf Club.
