NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Sacramento State's Kyle Candlish was named America Sky Men's Golf Conference Golfer of the Week. The award was announced Friday by the conference office.

Candlish recorded a career best 54-hole score of 215 to tie for 12th at the UC-Irvine Anteater Invitational. The junior opened with a 75 in the first round before recording back-to-back rounds of 70. Candlish's round of 70 on the final 18 holes tied him for the fourth best of the day in the 57-player field as he led the Hornets to a seventh-place finish.

Others nominated for Golfer of the Week were Ian Armstrong (Houston Baptist) and Nick Bisogno (Northern Colorado).
