Nov. 19, 2006 Elmhurst, Ill. - North Dakota State used big plays from a couple of wide receivers to defeat South Dakota State 41-28 Saturday night and win its first league title of any kind. Bison wideout John Majeski scored on a 45-yard run and set up another score with a 65-yard scamper from scrimmage to earn the Great West Offensive Player of the Week honor, the league office announced today, while wideout Travis White earned the Special Teams Player of the Week honors after returning a punt 84 yards for a touchdown that put NDSU ahead for good, 38-28. The Defensive Player of the Week award went to UC Davis free safety Jonathan Barsi, who intercepted three passes and returned one for a touchdown as the Aggies defeated rival Sacramento State 30-16.
