Elmhurst, Ill. - Seven Great West student-athletes were named to their respective ESPN The Magazine 2006 Academic All-District football teams, the organization announced today. South Dakota State had two First-Team selections and one player named to the Second Team in District VII, North Dakota State had one player on the First Team and one on the Second Team in the same district, while two Southern Utah student-athletes were represented on the First Team in District VIII.

ESPN The Magazine honors student-athletes in the sport of football who are either a starter or a top reserve on their team with a 3.2 grade point average or better and have reach a sophomore in eligibility or have spent at least one year in residence following a transfer. First-team members will be placed on the national ballot, with the eventual All-American team being named November 30.
