Somewhere Near Muir Woods - The South Dakota State Jackrabbits set the tone for the night when Ryan Berry hit Saunders Montague on a 70-yard touchdown strike just 14 seconds into the game. Although Central Arkansas would hold a brief 10-7 lead, the night belonged to the Jacks who scored 31 unanswered en route to a 38-10 victory. Once again, Cory Koenig led the charge with over 200 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Ryan Berry's steady 14-19 for 132 and two scored paced the passing offense while Chris Johnson's 14 tackles led the defense.
CK's Take: The game of the week was just that for about one quarter until the Jacks clearly asserted themselves as a superior team on the road. The one thing I thought the Jacks would do that would propel them to a win came to fruition as SDSU was physical and ran all over the Bears. Koenig got loose and with him running wild Central Arkansas really had no chance. I questioned whether the opposing defenses could stop each other and the team that forced the most turnovers put themselves in a great spot. The Jacks won that battle 4-1 and now jump over the .500 mark.
