Players of the Week from Week No. 3
RB Jake Miller - North Dakota (5-8, 168, So., Bismark, N.D.)
Running back Jake Miller put together the most productive rushing performance of his career in Fresno State’s home opener, rushing for 145-yards and three touchdowns in UND’s 27-22 loss Saturday night. Miller, who logged a career-high 21 carries in relief of injured starter Mitch Sutton, scored on runs of 70, five and one yard in the five-point loss that saw UND hold a lead on an FBS opponent in the fourth quarter for the first time in program history. Miller’s 70-yard scoring scamper was the longest of his career and came on his first carry of the evening. It was the second longest run by a Sioux running back since beginning the transition to DI in 2008. Miller racked up 110 of his career high 145 yards on UND’s three touchdown drives. His 14-yard reception on the final scoring drive came on a 3rd-and-10 late in the third quarter.
