CHICAGO, Ill. - The results of the 2006 I-AA.org Game of the Week survey were announced and three Great West Football Conference teams play in the top games.

South Dakota State at Northern Iowa highlights week three on Sept. 16, North Dakota State at Georgia Southern tops the week six schedule on Oct. 7, and the Cal Poly at Montana is the featured matchup during week 10 on Nov. 4.

In addition, the conference had three out of the seven games listed in the Game of the Year category.

Nominations for the Game of the Week were taken from visitors to the I-AA.org website.

The 12 winning games were evenly split between interconference and conference games. The Southern Conference was represented the most with nine of the 24 slots. Reigning national champion Appalachian State, plus Furman and Georgia Southern nabbed three appearances each, two each against each other.

The Atlantic 10 Conference was next with five appearances split between James Madison, New Hampshire and Delaware, with four against each other.

Fittingly the winning Game of the Year is 2004 champion James Madison at 2005 champion Appalachian State on Sept. 9.

The University of Montana hosts two of the winning games with Cal Poly and Montana State coming to Missoula.

Jacksonville State Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, UC Davis and Youngstown State also make an appearance on the winner's list.
