CHICAGO - The news service I-AA.org announced its 2005 preseason All-America team for NCAA Division I-AA college football and it featured three members from the Great West Football Conference.
Cal Poly's Chris Gocong was the only member to earn first-team honors. Gocong is a defensive end of the Mustangs and he was a finalist for last season's Buck Buchanan Award.
UC Davis' Daniel Fells was named to the third team at tight end. UNC's Reed Doughty also earned third team honors as a safety.
Seventy-five of I-AA's finest student-athletes from 44 different schools are recognized.
