Great West Players to Showcase Talent in Upcoming All-Star Games
Jan. 11, 2007 Elmhurst, Ill. - Several Great West seniors will be lacing the pads up one more time as they were invited to participate in various all-star games in the upcoming weeks. North Dakota State safety Craig Dahl, an all-Great West first team member in 2006, will be the first Great West player in action as he will be playing in the inaugural IntaJuice North-South All-Star January 13 in Houston (11 a.m. CST, ESPN2). South Dakota State will have two players seeing action in the Hula Bowl January 14 in Honolulu (7:30 CST, ESPN). Wide receiver Micah Johnson and punter Neal Bainbridge, two second-team Great West selections, head over to the tropical land of Hawaii to showcase their talents. They are the lone Football Championship Subdivision players on the Aina roster and two of just four FCS players in the game. Great West defensive player of the year and Buck Buchanan Award winner Kyle Shotwell from Cal Poly will be playing in the East-West Shrine game on January 20 in Houston (6 p.m. CST, ESPN2). Shotwell is the lone Football Championship Subdivision player on the West squad and one of only seven FCS players in the game. |
