NAPERVILLE, IL - Cal Poly's Ramses Barden and UC Davis defensive lineman John Faletoese added yet another prize to their respective college football resumes as both were named first-team All-America by The Sports Network, it was announced Tuesday afternoon.

Center Stephen Field from Cal Poly was named to the second team and UC Davis guard Jon Compas was named to the third team. Honorable mention honors went to quarterback Jonathan Dally and fullback Jon Hall from Cal Poly, wide receiver Tysson Poots, defensive tackle Austin Curtis and punter Trevor Ward from Southern Utah, and center Tommy Hernandez from UC Davis,

Barden, punt returner Jeremy Gilchrist and safety Lardarius Webb of Nicholls State were the only players to repeat as first-team selections from 2007.

Barden and Faletoese have already been named Walter Camp All-Americans and Barden was on the AP list as well.
