Anthony Watson rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead South Dakota State to a 34-3 non-conference win Saturday over William Penn.

Trevor Hohn added 105 yards and a touchdown for the Jackrabbits (6-3), who have won six straight games for the first time since 1963.

Watson led a ground attack that rolled up 277 rushing yards. He scored on runs of 2 and 6 yards in the first quarter for a 14-0 lead. Hohn scored on a 48-yard run in the third quarter.

William Penn (4-6) managed just 124 yards of total offense. Quarterback Ryan Van Dalen completed only 9 of 20 passes for 71 yards. James Jackson rushed 28 times for 76 yards.

William Brasel's 22-yard field goal in the second quarter was the only scoring by William Penn.

Parker Douglass kicked field goals of 29 and 33 yards for the 24th-ranked Jackrabbits, who opened the season with three straight losses.

SDSU quarterback Andy Kardoes was 6-for-8 for 111 yards. He threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Micah Johnson.

South Dakota State will head back into Great West play next Saturday at Southern Utah.
