South Dakota's Bouie Selected Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - South Dakota's Mitchell Bouie scored 14 points and six rebounds in an 89-77 Coyote win over Binghamton on Sunday, leading to Great West Conference Player of the Week honors. The award was announced Monday by the conference office.
Bouie, a junior from Chicago, Ill., shot 86 percent (6-7) from the field and was perfect (2-2) from the free throw line in the victory at the Drake Invitational at Des Moines, Iowa. In USD's first game of the tournament, Bouie recorded 11 points and three rebounds in a 96-81 loss to host Drake.
For the tournament, Bouie hit 10-13 (.769) from the floor and 5-5 (1.000) from the charity stripe on his way to All-Tournament honors.
Others nominated for Player of the Week were Christian Wall (Chicago State), Andrew Gonzalez (Houston Baptist), Chris Flores (NJIT), Travis Mertens (North Dakota) and Jared Maree (UTPA).
