NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The inaugural Great West Conference Baseball Tournament is set to begin on Wednesday, May 26 on the campus of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas.

Utah Valley, the regular season champions, headlines Pool 1 and enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed with a near flawless conference mark of 26-2. Joining the Wolverines on the same side of the pool is No. 4 seed Houston Baptist (15-13), No. 5 seed North Dakota (13-15) and No. 8 seed Chicago State (2-26).

Northern Colorado leads Pool 2 with a 22-6 conference mark and is the No. 2 seed in the tournament. NYIT, the No. 3 seed, finished the regular season with a 15-13 record while tournament host Texas-Pan American is the No. 6 seed at 9-18. NJIT, the No. 7 seed, rounds out this side of the pool with a 9-18 mark.

Each team will play each other in the pool with the champions of each pool advancing to a single-game championship on Saturday at 5 p.m.

12:30 p.m. - (1) Utah Valley at (5) North Dakota

4:00 p.m. - (3) NYIT at (7) NJIT

7:30 p.m. - (2) Northern Colorado at (6) Texas-Pan American

Friday, May 28

- All home teams on Friday will be determined by coin toss (Higher seeded team will call)

9:00 a.m. - (5) North Dakota vs. (8) Chicago State

12:30 p.m. - (1) Utah Valley vs. (4) Houston Baptist

4:00 p.m. - (2) Northern Colorado vs. (3) NYIT

7:30 p.m. -(6) Texas-Pan American vs. (7) NJIT
