NAPERVILLE, IL - Baseballs were flying all over the field as Texas-Pan American and Northern Colorado combined for 136 runs in a four-games series, and surely a player from at least one of those teams would capture the Great West Player of the Week honors. That was the case as Northern Colorado's Kevin Sandberg batted .500 with five home runs and 17 RBI to earn the Player honor. On the mound, Utah Valley's Justin Smith picked up one of the two Wolverine victories over Hawaii this past weekend, a five-hitter, to earn Pitcher of the Week.
