Vandals Mar Season Opener for Sioux

Idaho used a big second half to hand the University of North Dakota football team a 45-0 loss in the season opener for both teams Thursday night at Moscow, Idaho. (more)

7th GREAT WEST SEASON GETS UNDERWAY THURSDAY

Great West Conference football will kick off the 2010 season on Thursday night as North Dakota travels to Idaho. On Saturday, the remaining GWC teams will be in action. Defending GWC Champion UC Davis will travel to California, Southern Utah will play at Wyoming, South Dakota will head to the "Sunshine State" to take on Central Florida and No. 25 Cal Poly will host Humboldt State. North Dakota Sweeps First Volleyball Awards of 2010

North Dakota's Devin Trefz and Courtney Halvorson have been named Great West Conference Volleyball Players of the Week after leading the Sioux to a 3-1 record last week at the North Dakota Classic. The awards were announced Tuesday by the conference office. (more)

NJIT's Amanda Redden and South Dakota's Jenny Teslow have both been named Great West Conference Offensive Player of the Week while NJIT's Sadie Mele and USD's Jen Ogren shared Defensive Player of the Week accolades for their individual performances last week.
