NDSU Announces Signing of Junior College Transfer
FARGO, N.D. -- North Dakota State University head football coach CRAIG BOHL announced the signing of another junior college transfer to a Letter of Intent to play football at NDSU. Joining the Bison will be 6-2, 240-pound tight end ANDREW COOPER of Glendale Community College in Arizona. He will be a junior and have two years of eligibility remaining. Cooper joins an announced recruiting class of 15 high school athletes and two other junior college transfers. Here is the bio of the new letter of intent signee. ANDREW (A.J.) COOPER III, Tight End, 6-2, 240, Glendale Community College, Glendale, Arizona--Second team All-Arizona Community College selection and an honorable mention All-Region pick for a Glendale Community College program that went 9-2 last season and won the Valley of the Sun Bowl with a 41-17 decision over Hutchinson Community College of Kansas...Caught 41 passes for 578 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore...Played high school ball at Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, Ariz.
North Dakota State posted an 8-3 record in 2003 including a second place finish in the North Central Conference with a 5-2 chart. NDSU will be moving to the Division I-AA ranks in football in 2004 and will be a charter member of the Great West Football Conference. |
