FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State University head football coach Craig Bohl announced today the addition of two more assistant coaches and some shuffling of assignments on his football staff.

NELSON BARNES has been named defensive line coach for the Bison while REGGIE MOORE has been named wide receivers coach.

They join Tim Albin as new members of the NDSU staff. Albin was named the offensive coordinator two weeks ago and will be the runningbacks coach.

Current Bison staff members Brent Vigen and Pat Perles will have adjustments to their duties.

Vigen will move from runningbacks coach to quarterbacks coach while Perles, the offensive line coach, will add duties as the running game coordinator.

Here is a brief biography of the two new Bison football assistants:

NELSON BARNES, Defensive Line Coach -- Assistant coach working with the defensive line for the past season at Nebraska Wesleyan University...Assistant coach at six other schools since 1983 including six seasons at the University of Nebraska (1997-2002) as the defensive ends coach, three seasons at the University of Texas (1994-96) as the defensive line coach, one season at Kansas State University (1993) as the defensive line coach, two seasons at Western Illinois University (1991-92) as the defensive line coach, one season at Missouri Western State College (1990) as the defensive line coach, and seven seasons at the University of North Texas (1983-89) as the defensive line coach and outside linebackers coach...In addition, Barnes was a graduate assistant coach at North Texas for two seasons (1981-82)...During his coaching career, he has been a part of nine bowl games with three different schools (2002 Rose Bowl, 2000 Alamo Bowl, 2000 Fiesta Bowl, the 1999 Holiday Bowl and the 1998 Orange Bowl with Nebraska; 1997 Fiesta Bowl, 1995 Sugar Bowl and the 1994 Sun Bowl with Texas; and the 1993 Copper Bowl with Kansas State), four NCAA I-AA playoff teams (1991 Western Illinois, 1988 North Texas, 1987 North Texas and 1983 North Texas teams), and six conference championship teams (1999 Big 12 with Nebraska, 1997 Big 12 with Nebraska, 1996 Big 12 with Texas, 1995 Southwest Conference with Texas, 1994 Southwest Conference with Texas, and 1983 Southland Conference with North Texas)...A native of Alvin, Texas, he earned a bachelor's degree in industrial arts from North Texas in 1982...He was a four-year letterman for North Texas from 1977 to 1980.

REGGIE MOORE, Wide Receivers Coach -- Graduate assistant coach at the University of Washington the past season where he worked with the wide receivers...Three-year starter at UCLA where he was honored with the Kenneth S. Washington Outstanding Senior Award in 1991...Member of the PAC-10 Academic All-American team in 1990 and was a Sporting News member of the Sophomore All-American team in 1988...Played football in the National Football League for the New York Jets (1991-93) and the Los Angeles Rams (1993) was a wide reciever and return specialist...Coached in the high school ranks at James Madison High School in Houston, TX for four seasons (1999-2002)...Served as a fire fighter and paramedic with the Houston Fire Department from 1996 to 2003 before joining Washington...He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from UCLA in 1991.
